You may cancel your camp up to two weeks prior to the camp date for a full refund. Unfortunately with less than two weeks notice, there is no refund for your camp tuition. You can transfer the payment to another one of my camps or for another camper to use. There are no make up days or refunds for camp days missed. In case of minimum enrollment, we reserve the right to cancel the camp for a full refund of your tuition.. We also reserve the right to reschedule or cancel camps in case of unforeseen circumstances. In those cases your tuition will also be fully refunded.
What can I expect once I pay for camp?
Camps are on a first come, first serve basis. You will receive a confirmation of payment via email and an email confirmation from me once I get registration. You MUST fill out the registration form along with payment so I know the registered camper. The camp will be marked "camp full" on the shopping cart if it is full. If you would like to be wait listed, you may contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What should my child bring to camp?
They should bring a snack and water bottle. The Globetrotter Kids Camps have a daily food component to them, where they eat foods from that country. They are considered "heavy snacks," not lunch. So an extra snack from home may be needed. They should dress comfortably with clothing you do not mind getting dirty. They should also wear comfortable shoes, preferably not flip flops, as there will be outside time during camp. Outside time may be playing in the yard or as a group taking a short walk to Alamo Park to play for a while.
Are there any safety issues to be aware of?
All art materials are non-toxic and safe for kids. No sharp tools will be used aside from scissors. Hot glue may be used at times, but adult-handled. I am also CPR and First Aid certified.
My child is not quite 7 but really wants to do the camp, can they still enroll?
If your child is 6 but will be 7 over the summer and has completed first grade, they will probably enjoy the camp. Please let me know on the registration form or call me to discuss. The projects are aimed at techniques and skills developmentally appropriate for the age range of 7-11 with modifications as needed.
My child is 12 but really wants to do the camp, can they still enroll?
I think the projects are appropriate for 12 yr olds, but want your child to feel comfortable with multiple ages in one class. I also want them to have fun but feel like they are learning something new. Please let me know on the registration form or call me to discuss. The projects are aimed at techniques and skills developmentally appropriate for the age range of 7-11 with modifications as needed.
